Winemaking

Each vineyard plot is vinified separately, using gravity throughout the entire process. Grapes are hand-selected in the vineyard and undergo optical sorting at the winery. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and mínima intervención.

Ageing

Aged for 11 months in extra-fine-grained French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.

Profile

Crafted by our winemaker Montxo Martínez , under the guidance of renowned French winemaker Jean-Claude Berrouet. The wine is shaped around around freshness, finesse and elegance; rather than overripe fruit, excessive extraction or concentration. Rich in nuance, it evokes the vineyards from which it originates.

Winemaker’s Notes

VivaltuS is a new interpretation of Ribera del Duero, where elegance, freshness, vibrancy, expressive fruit and remarkable finesse come together. Silky tannins and an enveloping texture lead to a long, flavourful finish. Our aim is to strip the wine of unnecessary artifice, seeking the perfect balance between fruit and oak, elegance and purity. A wine rooted in tradition yet distinctly modern. A magnificent expression of what we believe Ribera del Duero wines should be.
