The VivaltuS winery is set in a truly unique location, between the medieval castles of Peñafiel and Curiel de Duero, in the natural landscape known as the Valle del Cuco; a haven for eagles, vultures, cuckoos, nightingales, cranes and many other species. Built partially into the hillside, the winery is seamlessly integrated into its surroundings.
The winery is an architectural masterpiece, receiving a Special Mention at the 2010 Architecture Biennale. Its design allows the entire winemaking process to be carried out using gravity alone, ensuring the grapes are handled with the utmost care while avoiding the use of pumps and intensive pumping-over techniques that could diminish the fruit’s delicate aromas. The winery is also equipped with state-of-the-art winemaking technology, with every process designed in pursuit of perfection.
